With Lent beginning on Wednesday, March 5, St. Boniface and St. Meinrad parishes have announced various events that are open to parishioners, friends and neighbors.
Two Liturgy of the Word Services, with the distribution of ashes, will be held on the morning of Ash Wednesday, March 5:
• 6:30 a.m., Historic St. Boniface Catholic Church
• 7:15 a.m., St. Meinrad Catholic Church
Three Masses, with the distribution of ashes, will be held on Ash Wednesday, March 5:
• 12:05 p.m., Historic St. Boniface Catholic Church
• 4:15 p.m., St. Meinrad Catholic Church
• 6:15 p.m., Historic St. Boniface Catholic Church
Each Friday during Lent, the Stations of the Cross will be prayed at 3 p.m. at St. Meinrad Catholic Church. F3 (Family Faith Formation) classes will lead and pray the Stations of the Cross on Wednesday evenings of Lent during their faith formation sessions, with their Mass buddies.
Two options for Eucharistic Adoration are available each week: Wednesday from 3 to 4 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., both at St. Meinrad Catholic Church.
Confession is available at St. Meinrad Catholic Church on Wednesdays, 3:15 to 4 p.m., and Saturdays, 12:15 to 1 p.m. At Historic St. Boniface Catholic Church, confession is available Saturdays at 3:15 to 3:45 p.m.
Communal penance services will be held Wednesday, March 19, at 6:30 p.m. at Historic St. Boniface Catholic Church and on Sunday, March 30, at 2 p.m. at St. Paul Catholic Church, Tell City.
