Our parish has been blessed with remarkable pastoral care for more than 175 years. Since 1847, faithful shepherds have walked alongside our parish family, celebrating joys, comforting sorrows and nurturing spiritual growth.
Benedictine monks from Saint Meinrad Archabbey have served as our pastors from 1853 to today, bringing the wisdom of the Rule of St. Benedict as we weathered the Civil War, two World Wars, the Great Depression, and periods of dramatic community growth.
Through their faithful ministry, countless generations of families have been baptized, confirmed, married, and laid to rest within these sacred walls—grandparents, parents, and children sharing the same font, altar, and pews across decades of devotion.
These devoted monks have witnessed babies grow into faithful adults who brought their own children to receive the same sacraments, creating an unbroken chain of faith spanning nearly two centuries.
As we honor their memory and service, please keep them in your prayers and give thanks for how they have blessed our lives through their faithful ministry and the sacraments they have brought to our community for the building up of God's kingdom.
