The 2025 Immersion Trip to the Appalachia Kentucky region with Hand-In-Hand Ministries was another huge success!
Parishioners from St. Boniface and St. Meinrad parishes were in Auxier, Kentucky, June 18-21 to assist Ms. Cathy in repairing her home that had experienced extensive flood damage after heavy rainfall ravaged Eastern Kentucky in February 2025.
The group assisted with new flooring installation, replaced and painted door and floor trim as well as kitchen cabinetry. The group was joined by a wonderful family of five that traveled from Florida to work with Hand-in-Hand and also help Ms. Cathy with her home repairs.
A huge thank you is extended to all parishioners who brought in cleaning supplies and non-perishable items to replenish their food pantry on site for their local community. Just under 100 items were donated and taken on the Immersion trip! What a kind and generous way to help their families get back on their feet after a natural disaster that rocked this region with devastation.
Parishioners who made the trip included Jim Gogel, George Schaefer, Gervase Ebert and Randy Scherzer. Thank you so much for opening your hearts and lending a hand up!
