Saint Meinrad Archabbey Cultural Events will present a concert titled “Death to Life” by the Saint Meinrad Seminary Choir on November 3, 2025, at 7:30 p.m. Central Time in the St. Thomas Aquinas Chapel.
The concert is divided into two parts. The first half will feature the chants of the Requiem, a traditional musical setting of the Mass for the dead. These chants, including the Introit, Kyrie, Gradual, and Lux Aeterna, invite reflection on life, death, and eternal rest.
The second half will feature motets, which are sacred choral works set to devotional texts. The motets in this program span several centuries and styles, from Renaissance masters such as Palestrina and Isaac to contemporary compositions, offering a rich variety of choral expression and musical textures.
