All access codes (exterior and interior doors) on buildings at both parishes were updated this month. The new codes will be good until the academic year begins, when the regular schedule of updated door codes will resume.
Leaders on record for parish-based ministries, programs and activities that use the buildings have been notified of the new codes. If you are a leader and did not receive notice of the new code, please contact the Parish Office at 812-357-5533 to confirm your contact information and update the leader on record, preferably identifying both chair and vice.
If there is a locked area in the building needing access according to an Emergency Action Plan (EAP), such as the lower level corridor of the parish during a shelter-in-place or severe weather warning, that access can be provided upon request.
Each year, organizations that renew their request for use of parish facilities as an in-kind community service (at no cost to the organization or its sponsoring organization), such as Scouts and 4-H, renew their usage agreements and provide proof of an EIN# for Tax Exempt Status and insurance as required by the Archdiocese of Indianapolis, Office Finance and Administrative Services.
During this same time, the organization must also provide its Emergency Action Plan specific to the regular use of the parish facility for a youth-sponsored program, identify the program on-site leader and its safety or certified first-aid contact with a current CPR/First Aid/AED certification, total program occupancy and room occupancy, along with a complete list of adult leaders and participating adults and youth, all with contact information. Please note: During the annual renewal process, a door code is issued and is not affected by other door code changes during the year.
All future facility requests and parish-based program leaders needing seasonal use of a parish facility must first complete the online form on the News To Share page of the website. A parish member will provide a unique access code to the leader on file before your requested date arrives.
Individuals who wish to report an access code issue or lockout location, maintenance issue, safety concern or repair needs are requested to contact parish staff and commission responsible for the general maintenance and long-term care of parish facilities and grounds to report this information as soon as possible by submitting an online form. Type “maintenance” in the search box at the top right of the web page or scan the QR code located near any first aid station or interior wall near an exit.
