Key Correlation Idea
Confirmation: Trusting God's Mercy
The blind man persistently calls out to Jesus.
Jesus asked the blind man, what He could do for him? The blind man asks Jesus if He had heal his blindness.
Do we ask Jesus what we need at Mass? Do we realize how powerful the Eucharist is in healing us physically, mentally, and spiritually. Jesus, heal our hearts.

At Mass on Sunday everyone stands to recite the Nicene Creed. This Creed is a summary of what Christians believe, particularly about the divinity and humanity of Jesus.
The Creed's name comes from the city of Nicaea (nye-SEE-uh), which was located in present-day Turkey.
A Church council was held there in the year 325 to counteract a heresy that declared Jesus was a superior, good in every way, but not equal to God the Father.
At the Council of Nicaea, the leaders of the Church declared that Jesus indeed is both God and man. He is equal to the Father and the Spirit.
The statement of beliefs that the Council of Nicaea adopted so many years ago is still proclaimed in our churches today. An it provides the outline for the statement of Catholic beliefs in the Catechism of the Catholic Church.
See the inside cover of the missalette to refresh your memory and to use a reference as we continue.
