Preparing to Receive the Sacrament of Confirmation

Key Correlation Idea
Confirmation: Doing Good for God's Eyes Only
We like to be noticed for the good we do, but Jesus warns that we should not do things just to be recognized for them.
It is better for us to do our good deeds so that only God knows what we are doing.
The teachers of Jesus' day liked to be noticed praying and giving alms. The poor widow quietly gave all she had.
Jesus was impressed with the sacrifice of the widow. She is a good model for us to follow.
